Brisbane weather: Queensland heat wave to break records

Records are tipped to tumble across Queensland as an Autumn heat wave sends the mercury soaring.
The south-east is expected to swelter under temperatures five to 10 degrees above average on Thursday, with Friday potentially just as hot.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast to hit 35 degrees on Thursday, the Gold Coast 34 and a record march high of 39 in Ipswich.
Further west Birdsville and Windorah are expected to bake under record 45-degree temperatures.
