AC18 Intel with D/W Sensor & Dedicated Smart Remote Pro Mk2*

The AC18 Intel is the most advanced addition to the Aircon Off Occupancy Sensor controllers. It includes Door/Window Sensors and a dedicated Smart Remote Pro Mk2*, both automatically paired for easy installation.

Compatible with any split system air conditioner, the AC18 Intel is 240v powered (like the AC14) and designed to be installed next to your AC unit.

Aircon Off is approved by major brands including, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Toshiba, and many more and is universally compatible with any AC that is operated by a handheld remote control.

The Aircon Off AC18 Intel with D/W Sensor and dedicated Smart Remote Pro Mk2* uses 433 RF communication with wireless accessories like the included door/window sensor. As well as automatically turning off the AC in rooms left unoccupied, where these sensors have been fitted.  Aircon Off will switch off the AC automatically should a door or window be left open for more than three minutes.

Additional sensors can be added to the system, up to a maximum of 6 door/window sensors per AC. Individual sensors can communicate with multiple AC18's for spaces with more than one air conditioner. The AC18 Intel with Door/Window Sensor comes complete with a Dedicated Smart Remote Pro Mk2* (which replaces the original AC remote). The AC18 Intel with Door/Window Sensor & Smart Remote Pro Mk2* ensures the AC always operates as econimically as possible, reducing energy consumption by a minimum of 30% and in most cases between 50%-80%, whilst maintaining perfect comfort.

Aircon Off AC18 With D/W Sensor and Dedicated Smart Remote Pro Mk2*  is universally compatible with any air conditioner that can be operated by an Infra Red remote control. 

Because the AC Series is mains powered, under Australian law these units must be installed by either a qualified air conditioning technician or an electrician.

Typically it takes between 30 and 40 minutes to install and set up a AC unit.

The AC18 With D/W Sensor with D/W Sensor and Dedicated Smart Remote Pro Mk2*  is mains powered and can be fitted directly adjacent to your air conditioning head unit ensuring that the simple connecting cables are tamper-proof.
Aircon Off AC18 Without D/W Sensor and Dedicated Smart Remote Pro Mk2* will sense when the air conditioner is running and then scan the room for occupancy using Passive Infra Red (PIR) smart technology. As the sensor will only detect body heat it will not be affected by items such as ceiling fans, or curtains. When no occupancy has been detected after a pre-set time delay, a signal will be transmitted to the AC to switch it off. This ensures that the AC always shuts down correctly.

Aircon Off is NOT a switch relay or circuit breaker. Aircon Off does not affect or process the power supply to the AC and is completely Passive in operation.

At no time will Aircon Off automatically switch the AC “On”. If a user requires air conditioning they just turn it on using a remote as they normally would. 
Being mains powered means that sensor power is optimised and there is no ongoing maintenance for the unit. Essentially it is Fit, Set and Forget.

Function controls & settings
TIMER
After the occupant has left the room, Aircon Off will continue to scan the room for a pre –set time – 15,30 or 45 mins before sending the signal to turn off the AC.
LEARN/TEST
Once Aircon Off  has copied the infra red (IR) signal from the AC remote control, by pressing the Aircon Off ‘test’ button, you can test the unit to ensure the IR signal has been copied correctly.

DAY/NIGHT SETTINGS
24/7 - Aircon Off will turn off the AC if the room is left empty regardless of day or night
COMFORT PLUS - when it is dark, Aircon Off will allow the AC to continue operating for 2 hours after the last movement was detected, after which time Aircon Off will switch off the AC.
NIGHT SETTING - During hours of darkness Aircon Off will not switch the AC off even if no movement is detected. (No accidental switch off's with sleeping occupants).
