Energy Minister Angus Taylor spruiked the government’s Energy Efficiency Community Program for supporting community groups and businesses by allowing them to “invest in equipment and upgrades to reduce their energy bills and bring down emissions at the same time.” Mr Taylor told the House the program builds on the 'Big stick' legislation which has been keeping energy company’s accountable. “Report after report is telling us our plan is working,” Mr Taylor said. “This is all about delivering Australians the affordable, reliable energy that they deserve at a critical time when we need them to be as competitive as possible, bringing down their energy bills as we bring down emissions.”
